Description
Dynamic Recon Ops is a randomised, replayable scenario that generates an enemy occupied AO with a selection of tasks to complete within. Select your AO location, the factions you want to use and any supports available or leave them all randomised and see what mission you are sent on.



Designed to be simple to use but with plenty of options to customise your mission setup, the objective behind DRO is to create a way to quickly get playing a new scenario in singleplayer or co-op. With as few changes to the base game as possible, DRO aims to showcase the unique and varied gameplay that Arma 3 has to offer for smaller scale infantry combat.
Additionally, DRO has been designed from the ground up to take advantage of faction mods. If you have any mods that create new factions they will be selectable as player or enemy sides within the mission. However, the scenario itself requires no mods apart from specific terrains if you want to use them.

fantastic. though Chernarus rebels had no trousers in my first successful op. OP Underwear. Final moments assasinating the enemy general as he and his troops competed in their annual 'run around with no trousers day' festivities.

Sorry to ask if this has already been done, but would it be possible to make it so that when the player dies, they can continue the mission by taking control of an AI in the group while playing solo? I know it’s possible to configure this in 3DEN, but when I tried it myself on your mission, it didn’t work at all…

@Yung_Twiz - I have not see such in YEARS! ;) The mod is 'bad'. When they 'built it', they gave those items the wrong 'code'.

If you and you ALONE use this mod (NO MP), you can un-PBO and you SHOULD be able to do a simple text search and do a 'swap' drop-ship' for heli' as an example. Re-PBO it and you SHOULD be 'good to go'.

I am NOT a 'units' expert, but I do think the above info is correct.

@machine gun kelly I figured out my helicopter issue but I'm not entirely sure how to solve it lol. The vehicles in my mod I want to use as helicopters are listed as "dropships", so the scenario isn't searching for them. Not sure what the next step would even be.

@Jake.sr24 - DO NOT USE MCC4!!!!

While it works WONDERFULLY, IT CLASHES WITH A LOT OF MISSIONS/CAMPAIGNS!

So, I have '2' saves settings':

1 - WITH MCC
2 - WITHOUT MCC


You can use my mod to call up Zeus and about 2000+ other things and it works PERFECTLY WITH THIS MISSION!. Mo mod works with just about every mission/campaign out too! ;)

And MCC is not 'just a zeus' mod either! DO get it, just do not use it with this...it MIGHT work...it def does not work with 100% of things though!

It IS good though! Just like this mission is!

Squad leader (the #1 slot) should have Zeus access, if not you can use another mod like MCC to enable it.

@jasonbruce122 - After you have set all your options, you click start.

You should still see the camera moving around. It is going thru the units and 'picking them', it can take a bit.

I would suggest you look at a clock, then hit start and then WAIT. It SHOULD do something in 1-3 minutes, depending upon your computer 'speed'.

If the camera is NOT moving around, there is an issue with one of your unit mods most likely. Run ARMA with ONLY default stuff and this mission and it should work just fine!


You can also examine your ARMA logs too, this alone may 'point you' to the EXACT issue.
