NMP Graviton Adjust

Description
Adjusts graviton engines under the new movement physics, so that they have strongly increased acceleration and deceleration and turn rate, but also strongly increased drag (so they have a sharply limited top speed compared to others).

This makes them -amazingly- maneuverable at short range, able to repositon in-systems very quickly. However, over the length of an entire system's width or more, a rocket engine will beat them in a straight line race, and so they're terrible for going between star systems.

But yeah, for now it seems that the two are fully compatible. If we tried something like what dolynick's been doing in recent DOF versions, we'd have to tinker with it, but right now...

Well, one benefit of integrating it would be the ability to explore it in more depth, like making newer, specialized engine types for the late game or giving future races new movement mechanics. (One thing I'm hoping I can crack by the time the Overlords show up, is a combined FTL/STL mechanic - the ability to just 'phase' into hyperspace and fly around with the kind of non-Newtonian physics Lucas once made, no drag or anything, just a speed cap set by their drive unit.)

There's no need to add this to the next ABEM - it's been specifically developed to be drop-in compatible. Nothing the new movement mods change affect anything in ABEM, and vice versa, so you can have them both activated at once.

I don't think there's a plan to change graviton engines, but if so, I'd make a separate version of this add-on.
