Description
[Requires "Brave New World" DLC]

New civilization "Halflings" for fantasy-themed maps. The Half King as their leader. This is a growth based civ.

Special Traits:

- Thriving Community: 25% Food is carried over after a new Citizen is born in your capital. (basically it provides a free Medical Lab that you won't need to build if you ever achieve the Atomic Era. It stacks with the Aqueduct and has no maintenance cost).

Special Unit:

- Supply Wagon: Unique Halfling unit replacing the Horseman. It can't attack, but can be stacked with a military unit to heal units around them every turn.

Special Building:

- Halfling Watermill: +15% Food; +2 Food and +1 Culture. Each worked River tile provides +1 Food and +1 Culture. City must be built next to a River.

Special Improvement:

- Polder: A Polder can only be built on Flood Plains and Marsh. It boosts food output immediately. It also provides +1 Production and +2 Gold once Economics is researched.

what tech do you unlock the polder with? i have researched guilds at this point and that is the tech you get it for the netherlands, but i still do not have it.

Shouldn't the capital be named "the Shire"?

I was having trouble getting the advanced medic bonus of the Supply Wagons to work. The fact that it's on a non-combat unit means I tend to stack it directly with a wounded unit, but it only works on adjacent units, and only on units that are receiving healing already. It does not for the wounded unit stacked with it. Just FYI, so hopefully my painful realization can save someone else some confusion.

@liamdell1 the Supply Wagon is still available for production with Chivalry.

Do the Supply Wagon's obsolete or can you continue making them after you research Chivalry?

I think this civ would be fairly balanced with the community patch if the polders were working, but like others have said, it is overpowered otherwise (even without the polders). I think it might be a good idea to mention this civ was designed to be played with that patch. The same would go for the Wood Orcs, which I also enjoyed but felt the loading background didn't match the civ.

So with tradition, if you build a monument first, you get a free OP watermill lol. It's so insane. Just +1 culture from river tiles would already be good enough.
