Introduction
Hello and welcome to my comprehensive Item guide. This guide details the various items of Momodora IV, where to find them, what they do and when to best use them.
This guide is not a playthrough guide, you can find out how to get these items in other guides. It just details every item so you can think about which ones are worth getting.

The items are currently listed in order of appearance assuming this boss order: Frida -> Lubella -> Arsonist -> Fennel

Items gained from killing bosses without taking damage usually drop where the boss died. If you don't pick it up and leave the area, the item will disappear.
Active Items
Active Items are equipped in the Active Slots (you have 3) and have to be activated to gain their effect. You can only cast active items when on the ground, getting hit cancels the activation animation so be sure that you wont get hit when activating items with longer cast times.
Active items have 1 charge unless stated otherwise. You can refill those charges by hitting checkpoints.

Items are disabled while cursed.

Mentions
I used Techim's guide to look up the boss names, kickerntaru's map to look up the general item locations, as a list of items and for looking up the prices and i used G.M.M.'s guide to look up the Ivory Bug rewards and locations if i didn't have them.

All these guides are awesome for completing the game and getting every achievement.

Also Taloo's speedrun is super useful to see how to most efficiently kill the bosses without taking damage and what the best route is to finish the game fast.

if you think anything in this guide is wrong or needs to be changed/improved please leave a comment.

MayamSP, I've just beat the game right now and can confirm that the spider will show up in New Game+ if you killed it in your original playthrough.
MayamSP 12 Jun, 2019 @ 11:57pm
Hello. I read at a different site that the spider that sells drilling arrows will not appear even at a new game+ if you kill the spider at sacred ordalia even once. Is that true? Did I bone my save file without knowing it? :[
eepy  [author] 5 May, 2019 @ 1:19pm
No, they are just rewards without any effect. a token to prove you did it.
Megapente 5 May, 2019 @ 1:09pm
Does Small Coin and Birthstone have any functionality?

"this game punishes you for having difficulty playing it by making the game even harder to play" what? no! the items you get for beating bosses unscathed are entirely optional, the first time i beat the game it was without any of them. if you have trouble just lower the difficulty.
💖 Officer Hotpants 💖 26 Jan, 2019 @ 5:14pm
So from what I've just read, this game punishes you for having difficulty playing it by making the game even harder to play. Wonderful.

Does anyone know how do i get to the sealed wind? I know were it is but somehow i can't get to it.
Billy M.T. 28 Dec, 2017 @ 7:41am
I've been looking around for this, but haven't found anyone commenting on it. Does upgrading the Maple Leaf raises its attack at all? Or all it does is the true ending, change the color, and that's it, no other benefits?
