Avian Epsilon Destroyer

Description
At first I wasn't going to do this ship. It is too large to be practical. It's design constraints are too severe. It has little actual armaments. It's an art piece. But it was a good art piece so I put it in my collection, marked it "archival" and keept it as something interesting to load up every now and then.

But then I was watching the original post and there were a stream of disappointed commentors who were complaining about not being able to load the map, even disparing that a re-post was impossible... (Therefore I'm reposting it.)

I'm in the habit of loading unloadable maps. ;)

I knew I wasn't going to be happy with this re-build, and I'm not. I did my best to maintain as much of the original's aesthetic as possible. But then it was using thrusters in the crew areas as glowing ornaments.... =\ I alevated the worst of the thruster damage issues but it is definitely still present. The nanites will be busy every time you maneuver.

I had to use an oddball cargo mod because the cargo arangements were a bit weird. My goal was better cargo management by reducing the number of containers. I replaced some decorative assemblers with either interior blocks or computers.

My interior work has a number of flaws. The cryo room, the crew quarters, and the 1,000 ton (each!) factory sections in each of the outboard hulls are all my fault. -- was either reactors or solid armor in original. My conveyor work in the main hallway was a bit brutal. Sorry. I worked with what I had. If you have a better solution, plase share.

The ship flies acceptably well but isn't pracical for anything. I added a gun on the roof of the aft section just 'cuz. but it's very poorly defended and has some friendly fire problems. =(

I decided to replace the "door-windows" with stock glass instead of mod-glass doors for simplicity's sake.

NOTE: If you are using Azimuth complete, azimuth cargo will be redundant.

UPDATE: KNOWN BROKEN; THE CONTAINERS MOD i WAS USING HAS DISAPPEARED WITHOUT A TRACE, UPDATE MAY BE FORTHCOMING.

I recognize your limitations in contacting me, I replied to the post about the Revenant in its own workshop post, check there for comments.

I loved that ship so much! So much I made it bigger, and just recently I rebuilt that much bigger ship in EGS, all 88k blocks!:steamfacepalm:
Much has changed, and much remains the same...

I remember this ship, when it was first posted on the Forums. It was one of the first massive ship anyone ever posted that look more than a flying brick. It's good to finally see it in blue print form.
