*sniff* Is that...bacon?

Should you look directly into the laser, let me know.

This map was made using Hammer from the Portal 2 Authoring Tools. You can find the Authoring Tools under the tools tab of your game library if you own Portal 2. It is still labeled a beta, but don't let that discourage you.

now that was difficult! by the way there's a piece of paper floating in the air above the overturned chair in the room just past the room with the exit

I disabled a switch that was timed by a laser catcher, not relay, and disabled a laser field. What did that do? I find this too annoyingly difficult what to do. You would have to get extremely lucky to beat this map lining everything up correctly without the laser interfering with your efforts.

It seems I got lucky when aligning the laser to go through all 3 relays to take down the laser emitter.

*Thoughtful stare* Hmm...

At first I found it to be incredibly annoying and expected that I'd have to do a lot of tedious trial-and-error attempts with redirecting the laser through portals, but when I found the extra cubes it all clicked.

Still, having to ''bait'' the laser into hitting the first cube in the relay involved quite a bit of blind attempts.

Your stuff is always original and unique, but sometimes you can take things too far so that they involve less thinking and more frustrating attempts at precision.

Wow I acctually solved it. That was riddiculously hard :P That lazer is SO annoying.
But!! You acctually just need 1 cube to solve it.

For those wanting to keep their sanity, some cheats should *really* help. And I don't mean fly through the wall and exit the map, but actually solve the puzzle, but no longer need to duck the laser.

Use these key bindings:
bind "j" "incrementvar sv_cheats 0 1 1" // Turn on/off the cheat mode
bind "v" "noclip" // Lets you fly though walls and "run faster"
bind "n" "notarget" // The laser no longer "sees" you and freezes
bind "Enter" "god" // Turn on invincibility

Turn on cheats (j), then press enter for "god mode", then n. Then use v to fly about and understand the map and how to place the cubes. When you think you have it set up, press n and let the laser hit you i.e. one of the cubes. Then press n again to freeze everything.

Once I had figured it out, freezing the laser would let me set things up at my leisure. Sure you can do it the without those cheats, but it is a real pain and will require a huge amount of trial and error.

Huh. Well, this map was released in June 2011. Nys 5 was Sept 2011. Who was first, I don't know. It took me a few days to think up and make this. Nys might have been in development longer and, thus, actually been first. Thanks for letting me know.
