- make a testworld just with the affected mod and one of the other mods as a mod conflict test, don't forget the mod requirements.
- (s) make a file integrety check for space engineers itself.
- (s) delete all modrelated data of the affected mods in the main and world specific storage folder and let it regenerate in case this got corruptet (findable under %appdata%\spaceengineers and %appdata%\spaceengineers\saves\yoursteamid64\yourworldname).
- (s) delete all modrelated data of the affected mods in the workshop folder and redownload it to neutralize eventually data corruption by modupdate (files are findable inside the workshop folder of the steam library folder in which you have installed space engineers).
it is definitly functioning.
make sure you have steam itself in online mode and all requirements of weaponcore loaded with it as well as running a pc world and not a console world.
to be a bit more clear:
both weaponcore and defense shields are only able to work in a pc world with steam in online mode and the workshop version of it running as they are not designed to be able to work as a local mod and console worlds having some limitations which makes them unable to work properly.
if that doesnt solve it please check if the "standard first aid list" helps and if that also doesnt help put together logs and an example world (a world with no more mods than absolutly neccessary to reproduce a problem and a premade situation for problem reproduction) and report in on the discord linked inside the moddescription of ds/wc.
in the main storage folder findeable under %appdata%\spaceengineers is a defenseshields.cfg which has all avaible balance settings.
please be aware that it will affect the shields of everything in all of the worlds created from that hardware where it is if you alter it.
it will also only work under a station shield and all the air is lost whenever the shield is going down which sadly includes a loss of shield strength upon world unloading, if i remember that correctly it was due to se limitations.
the "allow allied players" does from my experience only work with faction members.
you can set a shield password inside the shield controller/-table on the shield you want them to pass through and give itt to them to put it into a shield modulator to be able to pass through the shield with grids.
on "foot" they should always be able to enter the shield though they might have no dampeners.
