Splendid Ballistics for Operation Trebuchet (OUTDATED)

Description
Subtle config tweaks to almost all weapons and ballistics to improve the integration of OPTRE's content with ARMA3, while staying true to realism and the Halo lore as much as possible. Mostly based on personal preference born out of singleplayer, but made with Milsim'ing and PvP in mind. The goal was to make everything more fun and satisfying, building upon the great work of the OPTRE devs.


Some of the changes made to the base mod:

- Redid all ballistics and weapon stats based on a balance between the Halo lore and realism (within the futuristic setting of Halo, of course). (eg. No more hyperspace bullets for the SRS99)

- Added the MA5C (Using the same base model, just different stats)

- Tweaked and made every fire-mode on every weapon a viable choice in certain situations. (eg. The Battle Rifle’s burst mode is now usable at range through reduced recoil and some skill.)

- Tried my best to better fit every weapon to their role in a more satisfying way. (eg. The MA5B is a real fully-automatic spray and pray weapon with higher-than-average dispersion but without crazy recoil, and the M6G is shorter-ranged and less accurate like a regular pistol, but packs a satisfying punch up close.)

- Redid the fire-modes so the AI actually uses the weapons logically. (eg. The AI now takes advantage of the MA5B’s massive magazine within certain engagement ranges.)

- Integrated First Contact’s Sangheili units better into the rest of the mod. That means:

o They have less health (Shooting them now is less of a grind). Their “shield strength” is still considerable, though, especially for Zealots.

o Are stronger than humans and naturally experience less recoil as a result (This was an idea I was saving for the Brutes, but here it is!).This balances nicely with their plasma rifles.


o Balanced the Plasma weapons to be more effective at range.

o Redid the covenant plasma bolt effects (by accident lol, but they look great).

This mod requires Operation Trebuchet and Operation Trebuchet: First Contact.

Balance mod doesn't seem to work, and this is not very good. Maybe some of the good stuff in this was already integrated into Optre for ACE? It just seems to nerf the DMRs, messes with the m7 for no reason (it's a different barrel firing a different bullet, but now it's just a slower-rate-of-fire P90), and literally does nothing to either that big conventional gun with less than a LB of weight or the VK78 Commandos that have no barrel or bullet specs.

Getting a crash on launch, it can't find "burst" for the battle rifle. I'd double check that.

Theres an error for the scopes on Both snipers not being available in Arsenal.
