Well, not sure if I did it the rite way, but here is my solution ^^ I also used this kind of portal placement to spawn the second cube and wash the laser cube ;)

Oh and, if you want a better way to paint the cube every time, have a look to this map ^^

Never mind, I realized why you need the blue gel. As to finishing the puzzle without the use of both cubes to open the door (although you needed both cubes to clean the redirection cube), see http://youtu.be/24CVmiQ_cgo

the purpose of the blue gel is to cover the lazer cube every time it is dispensed
(there is a rare issue where it may not, but i have been unable to correct this >:C), so you "should" not be able to place it without cleaning it first, and you "should" have to place it to leave the room, and to clean it you "should" need a SECOND CUBE. :B

if the lazer cube was not covered in blue gel then you could ignore everything except the exit lazer trigger

i feel that the seemingly extra component at the end is acceptable

Very good puzzle, I do not quite see why you had the blue gel there (except for the fun of it) - but it was very well done in any case. I decided to check out your puzzles after you explained your solution of my laser grid puzzle (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=73614978) which was not exactly how I thought to solve it, but it was better than my solution so I edited my map to allow that to be the only solution.
One note about this puzzle: I dont know if it is intended, but I was able to finish the map with an extra cube - so for optimal use of puzzle elements you may want to add a button to the laser receiver for opening the exit door.

The button is to correct a glitch i kept running into while in the editor
sometimes the lazer cube would not despence a new one, and this could occur when there where no other cubes, so the button was a manual reset

There is actualy a second glitch that i could not solve, but occurs very rarely, where the fizzled laser cube would bounce back up to despenser and jam the next cube so nothing could be despensed

I did not find a use for the angled panel that is activated by the standard button.
