Extra Research Slot for Majors

Description
Grants the seven major nations an extra research slot, making it easier for the AI to proceed with technological advancements at roughly 'historical' pace. Intended mainly as a companion mod for Balanced AI Research, but can also be used on its own.

(the extra slot is added to the research panel after the game runs for one virtual "day")

It was updated to 1.4 yesterday... maybe Steam is slow to notice and needs a restart or something?

Do you mean to update it? It should be compatible with version 1.3.* of the game, which is the most current.
