Challenge: build a dropship / gunship hybrid for a crew of 4 as compact as possible, while still looking good, and also being highly manouverable. There you go: the Jackal is here. It comes with two pulse lasers, one plasma cannon and two rocket pods. If you need more punch, just a few weapons.

-> Don't forget to switch between day and night lighting!

It fits the small hangar spaces aboard the Kshatra Light Cruiser.

Hey Booyah, looked into it.
It's too complicated, because the hardened steel blocks and armored windows use sathium. But if you remove the weapons, you won't need any special materials except Sathium.

Could you make a starter version of this that doesn't require eres/zac/sath/neo? I prefer to start with these types of ships right away without having to leave the planet to get neo/sath and I can add a loadout later.

Updated the Jackal to 4.0! Any other ships you want me to update quickly or do you rather like new designs? I think I'll update the other SVs the moment 5.0 arrives. There's not been this much of a change for SVs.

Still a bit of problem if you're on horizontal sloped ground. Maybe they'll fix this in upcoming versions. You can still reach the cockpit, though - so the ship remains operable. :)

Still happens? Hm, maybe I forgot to update the blueprint. Try to remove one of the walls on the ceiling betwenn passenger space and cockpit, if it hasn't been removed already. The hull will remain intact and you will be able to walk up to the cockpit seat and thus won't get stuck.

Had the same idea in my mind, ended up with the SUV-looking Tsyklon-A design :)
The only problem I see here is the access to pilot seat. Because of game mechanics it's pretty easy to get stuck between the cockpit and the passenger space if you're not on a plain ground.
