Orpington 02 Patroller (NO MODS)

Description
The Orpington series is getting a full overhaul, every ship being upgraded, updated and built from scratch.


DESCRIPTION:

This is the small ship version of the Orpington line, the new 02 has been reworked entirely, is smaller than the old 02 but packs almost the same amount of firepower. I renamed it to a Patrol-Boat as it fits it category size much better as well as its purpose.

This ship is meant to be a patroller, police craft and recon scout. With the laser antenna it can warn of potential threats and communicate over long distances. The hydrogen thrusters give it the edge to quickly disengage and should anyone go in pursuit it can continue to fire backwards.

As such, it is the perfect ship for an NPC faction or a multiplayer server. For single player, it is great to support mining ships and keep hostile drones off the production line. Like all the Orpingtons it uses composite armor for protection (Light armor ontop of heavy armor).



UPDATE LIST:

- Removed x2 AI turrets since they kept shooting each other on the old version, now they work 100% perfectly and as intended.
- Added hydrogen tank and thrusters
- Removed half the ion thrusters because ^
- Nearly halfed the ship in size (Too much unnecessary space)
- Removed nearly 100 small cargo containers, it only uses 2 medium and 1 large now
- Removed 1 cockpit (Although it looked cool, being the gunner was pointless as the AI turrets aim better
- Added 8 Gatling guns
- Added 4 reloadable missile launchers
- Updated scripts
- Assigned action groups


COMBAT TESTING:

This is a small ship and therefore meant to be used as a police boat. Against light ships, drones, small pirates and crazy miners it establishes a presence of authority. It is absolutely incredible in the aspect of fighting small fighters and destroys them nearly instantly. Against heavy armor gunships, it can hold its own.

... but we don't recommend engaging heavily armed frigates or destroyers.

Is it a drone ship?
If so how do you fly it?

First we make sure our turrets don't hit the ship itself, by setting up several stationary and moving targets.
After that we spawn in a new, un-tested ship and set it up against a random ship (typically, EnjoyCoke likes putting them up against the old 05 because it's the biggest).
Then we fire at eachother for some time and evaulate the new ship's performance based on damage taken, damage done, and so on.

This one was set up against an unarmed ship EnjoyCoke once made, called the Apex Constructer.
It could do absolutely nothing to evade the devastating damage raining down upon it. It was chaos.
