Description
**** NOTE April 23, 2017: This is now a legacy mod, made when I was just starting out learning how to do these. It is no longer supported and may or may not work for any given time in the future. If it breaks in future game updates, I probably will not be able to fix. Please use with that in mind. ****

Hi all. This mod is a set of fresco/wall paintings -- So far these all come from Pompeii.

The man & woman are Pacaius Proculus & wife.
The scene with many people in it is the "Sacrifice of Iphigenia."
The still life of eggs & pitches is from the House of Julia Felix.
The garden scene comes from the Villa of Fannius.
The large scene with the man, goddess, and wild dogs is the "Punishment of Acteon."
4 small panels, all with black backgrounds, which make good general room decoration.

The first four measure 9x9, Acteon which is a large 17x12, and the last 4 are all 4x4. They hang well on any wall. Please note: I moved the item to the "back" of its block so that it will sit flush against a wall. If you try to place it and it falls, flip it backward and try again, it should fit just fine. (If you really want it faced the first way, set a small-block frame around it and then attach it to the frame.)

Steam user ja231c helped teach me to get them to reflect more of the ambient light around them. I think it makes a huge difference in how they look! I've updated the mod.

The destruction mechanics of the Pacaius portrait work pretty well. The other three now destroy OK, but when destroyed they all revert to the damaged picture of Pacaius. I think I'll have to download & learn "Havoc" in order to update those. Some day!

I hope to create a whole range of frescoes and wall art of various sizes that can be placed around people's builds. I of course love the Roman era, but I want to put up other periods too.

Hope you enjoy!

Hey Androox. Thanks for the reports. I was afraid of that. I'm going to get back to this mod & the busts mod and work with them once I get some of my latest ones finished off.

i cant find those arts can yu tell me where are they or names?

If you want to make those frescoes more reflective you should make the _ng less transparent (60-80% should be fine). You can also try making the _cm slightly less transparent (20-30% should be fine).

HUUUGE thanks to user ja231c who taught me how to light these frescoes properly. And how to cut out unused files. File size reduced by 33% and all frescoes light up right now. Yes!

The wooden floor is a great idea for a starter piece, I like that a lot! Like you say, way less bulky so it can be used on any level.

True say. The way I had thought it could work (and this is all speculation) Is making something like the wooden floor, that actually snaps to the top of the big stone blocks (kinda like what you did with the frescoes.) It's nice and thin and doesnt intrude too much. Methinks that all we'd need to do is a center piece, a corner one and a one side border. Then it's just a matter of tiling it to match the room your'e flooring. That way you can tile rooms that are above the first floor!
I've made checkered floors with the 1x1 weights and a 1x1 wood pieces and it turns out nice but it's a bit too chunky for my liking.

That's so cool! I'm glad you're already getting use out of it. And thanks much for the offer, I may take you up on that if I can't get GIMP to play nice. For tiled floors there's two ways to do it. Right now you can use the various "stone beam" mods (including my colored ones) to make patterns on the floor. But I think it's also possible to take the huge stone cube and give it a "tiled" look on one surface. That could take some time to figure out -- especially getting the tiles to line up right from block to block. But could be a great addition.
