(Click on image above to see bigger image).

Note the green number 2 step,
since about Jan / Feb 2018 Steam apparently removed the green progress bar
at the bottom of the Steam window / windows taskbar.
Now you have to right click on the Steam Library > Manage Downloads
to see mod download progress.

Most mods are to play in the game but some are for editor play only.
The modder should tell you on their mod description page
if their mod is for editor play only.

The main point about those kind of mods is you first have to
install those mods in the main game first before you can play them in the editor.

Avoid Mixing Mods.
.
Avoid mixing mods, especially big mods or small mods that say that on their mod page.

Usually big mods that modify alot of game files should not be mixed with other mods.

They can cause game errors, bugs and your game to crash.

Mixing mods is really only for experienced modders or players of mods to do.

If your game does crash and you cannot start you will have to visit the
Troubleshooting forum topics
to ask or find answer how to fix your game so you can play again.

This is how you search the forums
.
.

Many questions and problems have been solved before on the
Men of War Assault Squad 2 discussion forums.

You can find or search for answers in the discussion search box.

Just put in your question like whatever you problem is, just few words,
like the bug or error, and many answers can be found that way.

Also notice the PINNED topics,

and the Troubleshooting forum is on the right side panel.

To save disk space unsubscribe to those mods and they will be deleted from the Workship content folder, but they will stay in the mods folder. You only need to re-subscribe to some mods if they get updated and you want those updates.

Hi! I have a question: I subscribed to a few mods and I realized they are now both in the Workshop>Content folder (folders with numbers for name) and in the MOWAS2>Mods folder, so the disk size is duplicated. Is it safe to delete the Workshop version, or the game needs both?

You open the map editor menu and select load and your map should be there, or at least it was for me, hope this helped.

But how?

Activate it in game first then go play it in editor.

How do I play a map that is editor-only?

I have never had or seen that problem. Try - exit game, go to Workshop, subscribe to a mod, then once it has downloaded start the game.
