Description
This is a set of Combat Knives: MK 1, 2, 3, and 4. The combat knives, held in reverse-grip, use the fist weapon template, and have a combo step of one to achieve an uppercut attack.

Unlike other Fist Category weapons, the Combat Knives can be aimed like other melee weapons: making them useful for dealing with close threats from any direction. They do more damage than most fist weapons, but are generally slower.

Item IDs: combatknife_mk1, combatknife_mk2, combatknife_mk3, combatknife_mk4

The MK 1 and MK 2 Knives can be built at a T2 Anvil, with 2 titanium. The MK 3 and MK 4 Knives can be built at a T3 Anvil (Replicator), with 2 durasteel. The MK 1 and MK 2 Knives are treated as level 5 in the script, and the MK 3 and MK 4 Knives are treated as level 7 in the script; this is to scale up the uppercut damage value, so that it is higher than the normal swing.

The MK 1 Knife is a balanced knife: good speed, average damage and knockback, and good draw time.

The MK 2 Knife is a small knife that has high speed, low damage, and can start swinging sooner when drawn than slower knives. Lower knockback.

The MK 3 Knife is the heaviest of the knives, with the highest damage, offset by slower fire rate and draw time. Good knockback.

The MK 4 Knife is similar to the MK 1 in its balance, but trades a bit of speed and drawtime for more damage. Average knockback.

Custom GFX

Note: after swinging a knife fist weapon, it will pause its idle rotation where it was last swung until the next swing. This can affect dual knives, as your alternating knife will uppercut in its last position. Swing the weapon again to set it to another position, or swap off then back onto the weapon (double tap Z, scroll wheel back and forth) to reset the rotation. This can be used to your advantage if you are fighting enemies from both below and above, as you can swing at your feet, then uppercut to the above, or vice versa.
