Historical background:
During the course of WWII, the Wehrmacht achieved the unthinkable and the early years of the war witnessed the downfall of France, European Russia and the Middle East. The Allies fought back, however: on June 20th, 1947, American, British and Canadian forces set foot on European soil in the greatest invasion of history. By 1949 the Allies entered Germany and forced the Japanese surrender. In the meantime, South American nations picked sides and Axis backed Argentina united the continent, leaving only Venezuela in Allied hands. On May 13th, 1950, the British nuked Rimini. What they didn't know was that Germany had long since been in posession of nuclear weaponry. On September 13th, 1951, a decisive nuclear strike forces Britain on its knees. It took another 2 years and another nuclear exchange on both German and American soil to force the US out of the war. On 1st of August, 1953 the war officially ended. In Asia, the Soviets managed to unite the whole continent under their banner waging a destructive war with the Allies between 1951-56. On April 28th, 1958 a Soviet nuclear salvo devastates Japan and the Pacific War begins. The Soviet invasion of Australia was barely defeated in 1961. The US responds by invading Vietnam, but has a hard time advancing in the jungle. The year is 1964 - can you bring peace to the world?
