Orpington Explorer (NO MODS)

Description
Travel everywhere, to and from anywhere. This ship is inter-planetary, meaning, it works in space, atmosphere and even moons.

Description:

So, I've struggled a lot with building a ship which can work in space and on planets, and after about 10 horrible failing aborted ships, this is the best I came up with. It works, yes, it is 100% survival ready, has a refinery, assember, arc furnace, heck even a jumpdrive.

I wanted it to be small, so mind you, it only suits a crew of 2 with 1 additional passanger if needed. So in terms of making a ship, able to fly anywhere and not eat catastrophic amounts of resources such as ice, this one suited me the very best.

It's only 755 blocks, so you people playing on those restricted multiplayer servers should have a lot of fun with it. It's a light armor ship, so faily cheap to build as well but mind you, it is NOT suited for combat at all!

I put a large cargo container on this one (I know, overkill) but what the heck. I hate sorting through crap and prefer to have it all stored in one place. Besides, you can fill the Large Cargo container all the way and transport things in space, it is absolutely great for that.

Lastly, the ship defenses are to my surprise extremely effective against cyberhounds, but not so much against spiders.

TESTING (With realistic settings):

Breaking atmo without cargo:
- 100% perfect, you can cut hydro thrusters at 11000meters and have the ion engines pull it the rest of the way

Breaking atmo with 1/3 cargo:
- Very good, but don't cut hydro thrusters till you are past at least 16000meters

Breaking atmo with 1/2 cargo:
- Doable but you need piloting skills and careful watch your hydrogen supply, don't cut hydro thrusters at all

Breaking atmo with 2/3 cargo:
- Not possible on large planets, will still be able to do it on small ones but just barely

Breaking atmo with full cargo:
- Forget it

Flight test in space:

Works 100% as intended, great acceleration, great pitch/roll, mediocre breaking, poor sideways maneuvering.

Flight test in Atmo:

Lift is good, good pitch/roll, great acceleration, mediocore braking, poor sideways maneuvering. (Fly it like a helicopter for optimal performance)

Flight test on Moon/Mars:

Lift is poor, good pitch/roll, great acceleration, good breaking, decent sideways menuvering. (It can land on moons, but be careful, watch your cargo load)

Apparently I still get notifications about it. I don't play SE anymore, gave up on it over a year ago and moved on to Elite: Dangerous. However, I am not sensitive about any of my creations, feel free to use, change and upload them as you see fit. No hard feelings.

I would imagine that at this point after more than a year, most, if not all of them need serious overhauls and updates in order to function. So knock yourselves out ;)

Ahh okay well me and my friend thought it was a really good looking ship, (we suck at building and designing ships) lol but the only mistake we found was the things weren't connected, as soon as we connected them, it ran pretty well, can't wait to take it into a planet.

Great looking ship, umm major flaw in the ship though, followed the blueprint to the letter and by the time me and my friend were done building it we were excited for it, till my friend realized that oxygen tank was not filling up or working, after doing some investigating we realized the oxygen tank was connected to an oxygen generator, connected to a vent connected to an arc furnace, and that whole system was not connected to the rest of the ship, so we had to modify it to get it work. so be warned when building the ship you'll have to watch out for that.
