S.S. Enterprise NCC-01

(This model was modified from an existing model, the original will be put into the "required models" section, as it is my intention to both show my talent for modifying the model, and showing the talent of the original builder, cheers lads)

At the end of the 20th century, Humanity branched out further into space. The first real "exploration" vessels, the A class, were designs that quickly showed their age, and a new design was needed. The next step, was one that was made with cooperation from the public. The new ship, dubbed "NX class", was more or less a design from the TV series Star Trek; Enterprise, however the final version was a never released "refit". This design was placed into a batch of 2 5 ship runs, and the first comissioned was S.S. Enterprise, the direct succesor in lineage to the ESS Enterprise A class. The ship carried over the dual shuttle pods and heavy armour, but was heavier and a bit more manuverable. This version is her final form, in the NX-Refit (Mod. 3); the central jump drive matrix stabalizer pod was removed, and a host of improvements made over the original NX class. These ships served until 2145 as the workhorses, with Endeavour NCC-04 lost to pirate raiders over Martian space. The second batch of 5 ships came off the line as Mod 3's, and served until 2180, with the last, S.S. Gemeni NCC-10 serving out her last 5 years as a cargo hauler. Their replacements were the Horus class of exploratory cruisers.
