Wanted a little taste of my favorite game in Starbound, and could find nothing. So I made this!
Features a tier 6 broadsword based on Aerondight, from the Witcher games - although it was specifically made with the Witcher 3 version in mind.

NEW: Now includes a wig + witcher armor!

It features the whole Witcher jazz like glowing runes, agile blade (= swings faster), and alternate versions: one coated with venomous blade oil, and three others empowered with Witcher signs.

So feel grab this piece and start killing monsters. And humans! And non-humans!
If you have an idea on how to implement Quen ( boosting defense ) or Axii ( mind-control ) versions, go ahead and me a call 'cause I sure have absolutely no idea how to do that.

Craft it in the Witcher's Forge, which you can create at the tier 3 inventor's table.

If crafting's not for you, spawn them in admin mode with the following commands:
Aerondight - Basic
AerondightAard - Ice
AerondightIgni - Fire
AerondightYrden - Electric
AerondightOiled - Poison

For the armor pieces:
witcherhead - Geralt wig
witcherchest - Armor
witcherpants - Pants
witcherback - Sword scabbard

__Ver 1.1
Now added recipes, craftable from any anvil - alongside variants with elemental damage, based on Witcher signs!

Note that they're supposed to be sidegrades, so I lowered the damage a little bit compared to the basic Aerondight to make up for the elemental damage, but I don't know if they're truly balanced.

__Ver 1.2
Managed to add elemental weapon effects on basic attacks.

__Ver 1.3
Now with glowing runes!

__Ver 1.4
Removed the swords from the anvil crafting list. Now they have their own crafting station: The Witcher's Forge! Craftable from the tier 3 Inventor's Table.

Also contains a small decorative surprise. :)

__Ver 1.5
Finally, added active runes! Now, they'll only glow when the weapon is swung, and remain on for a little bit.
Also, faster combos - it's a Witcher's sword, not a big, bulky paddle. Quick, nimble and deadly!

__Ver 1.6
Added some new goodies:

- Kaer Morhen armor: Now you can pretend to be Geralt by wearing his iconic armor.

- A Geralt of Rivia wig: Now you can pretend to be Geralt *even harder*, and you don't even need to create a new character. Simply craft it and put it on.
That means anyone can try to look like him, not just humans. Can't guarantee non-humans won't look hideous, though.

- A sword scabbard: For when you're tired of wearing capes to hide the EPPs, now you can be a true monster slayer and carry around a second sword! Too bad it seems to be stuck, though. Oh well.

unless you intend to have the blade use a secial move you could make the element like the adaptable crossbow. and just change based on needs with a right click

i dont play witcher but for that mind control Axii thing just make it so those effected act like temporary crew members but dont go up to your ship they just fight for you

Not really, it adds new items, hence it should cause an asset mismatch error if trying to play online with somebody else who doesn't have this.
Of course, you can ask your friends to install this and it should be fine.

I thought about it, but I wanted Quen to be more of a passive effect, like the elemetal auras but this one shielded/reduced damage instead.
As for Axii, I thought about using the Timepierce alt to mimick a 'stun' effect, but that enables you to attack the enemy (Timepierce doesn't), and also with a different animaton. Thought about giving it some range by copying the way Evil Eye "shocks" enemies from a distance.
All in all, it's a messy scavenging job, reappropriating vanilla assets that would require custom animation files, if not new lua scripts - and frankly I don't know if I'm capable of that ;_;

Idea about Quen: you can use your sword as shield too (like special attack)
