I think puting a simple filter over the image might gets rid of the fragments.

I would like to make high quality stuff but its not easy if you are not an artist ^^

Because it is an Image from the internet. The original Image was JPEG and was meant to be an demonstrational picture in an tutorial on how to make floating Islands in low poly style or something I guess. I didnt read the article at all.

then how did you manage to get those fragments? The text on the island has no fragments, so it is clearly avoidable.

It is PNG you can not use JPG's

I did see maps that are perfectly sharp even when zoomed in, though on a 8K picture it is a bit tricky.
But the problem here is that the map has JPG fragments. Why didn't you use PNG? it's lossless unlike JPG

Thank you but there is nothing we can do about it. There are not even an mentionable amount of 8K UHD pictures out there, and none of wich I saw were even close to usable for a map. So my tip: play it completely zoomed out, and if you have to zoom in, its not for the graphics anyway ;)

I also play all maps completely zoomed out.

looks nice but the JPEG fragments are awful on closer look
