[OBSOLETE] Guns, Drums and Steel as additional music

Description
On the 13th of September, 2022, the Guns, Drums and Steel 1 and 2 Music Packs were updated to not replace the original music, making this mod OBSOLETE.

You can unsubscribe. Thank you for using my mod. This page will remain up for some time to inform people but it may be deleted in the future.

Below is the original mod description:

Do you like the Guns, Drums and Steel Music Packs, but wish they played in addition to the default EU4 music and didn't replace it? If so this is a mod for you!

This mod makes it so that the Guns, Drums and Steel songs won't replace the default songs, so you can listen to both the default ones and the metal ones during your game.

Requires owning both Vol. 1 and 2 DLC's. You can use this mod if you only own one DLC, however some of the default songs will have duplicates in the Music Player.
Volume 3 does not replace any default songs.

BONUS: Includes Metal Falalan.
  • Ironman Compatible.
  • Achievement Compatible.
  • Does not alter checksum.
  • Compatible with other music mods if they do not disable or replace default music.


NOTE: This mod plays the remixed version of the Main Theme from the Guns, Drums and Steel Music Pack when the game starts. Both Main Themes are playable in the in-game Music Player.

Hello, hi, is anyone still here?
I made 2 new mods. One that makes the GDS Main Theme play during startup (without removing the original from the music player) and one that just adds Metal Falalan if anyone wants those.
if you do, I'd apreciate a like on those, cause non likes workshop items get burried fast.

It's bizarre PDX ever decided the metal music should overwrite the originals, but it's better late than never that they officially fixed it.

Thanks for pointing that out. I missed that line.
Just checked and yup, both show up. Having my mod now would add extra copies probably.
I'll edit everything tomorrow, but in shows THE MOD IS OBSOLETE as of 1.34. Thank you for using up up to now.
IDK if I'll make a mod just to add Falalan. I don't think a lot of people would care about that.

According to the 1.34 patch notes: "- Guns drums and steel no longer override the base music but can be randomized the same way as the default, user can disable the base ones in the music player if wanted."
Does this mod have a purpose now? Perhaps only to add "Metal Falalan"?

Hello. The mod is updated for 1.33 so the launcher won't complain it's outdated anymore (even though the only thing I did was change the version number).

I have checked the files for Guns, Drums and Steel Volume 3 and it doesn't seem like it replaces any original songs, just adds some new ones like all other music packs, so no change was needed.
