ABOUT:
======
In exhibit A there are a total of 7 various mechanisms some with simple and advanced examples.

In the style of Penn & Teller I've decided to invite you behind the curtain.. not to brag but to share a wealth of knowledge accumulated thus far. This will hopefully make your maps even better than before and for the portal newbies still scratching their heads thinking, "how the heck did they do that?!" this should help illuminate those possibilities a little. Not to mention it's also interesting going to a museum and viewing the machines and physics at work!

MECHANISMS:
===========
SWITCHES, DELAYS & PHYSICS:
* A one-way light bridge switch - break the laser beam with the cube and the action cannot be reversed N.B. to fit this in a 1x1x1 cube: place the button, light bridge and funnel; then place the cube somewhere else on the level, remove the dropper and move it into the 1x1x1 cube and finally use the diamond on the light bridge to make sure the cube is sitting on the bridge (thanks to Geneosis for this method).
* Funnel buttons - funnels combined with buttons ensure that a loose cube / sphere will activate the button.
* Geneosis’ two-way funnel switch - the funnels are used to position the cube to push one button or the other.
* Slippery cube - when a cube is painted in orange gel it overcomes friction and can slide down a slope, the gel can also be washed off.

RANDOMISERS, PULSES & TIMERS:
* RaVeN’s laser track timers MK1 - a cube or a track platform breaks each laser beam in the tracks path N.B. to prevent a cube from falling off the moving platform make sure it is 4 spaces long!!
* RaVeN’s blue cube randomiser - a cube in a ‘cage’ can be painted in blue gel so that it bounces around the cage randomly to push a button; the cage can be any size, contain many buttons or lasers and the gel can also be washed off.

LOGIC GATES:
* A logical OR laser gate - a laser is deflected by a reflection cube to make sure that any input does produce a result.

I've also just updated the description for the 1x1x1 cube method for the "one-way light bridge switch". Cheers

No problemo dude :) and thank you for some of the ideas lol

I tested the cube on the track platform and it only works if it's 4 spaces long! Any less and it will fall off :P Yeah the laser OR gate is by far the simplest method.. if I discover a better one I will publish it too.

P.S. just updated your link to your collections url link like you requested!

Cool demo map ^^ It fits perfectly with the Map Creator Tools collection ;)

The only "new" timer I saw was the one with the cube on the moving pannel, that's a nice idea, I never tried that because I thought that the cube will fall out of the pannel X) Maybe a version where you replace the pannel by a funnel or something will be more sure ;)

About the multiple-input OR gate, I also used this method sometime, but want to precise that it will stop working if you add too much laser cubes ^^"

Anyway thanks for quoting my devices :p
