That makes sense, might just be my brain that skipped that connection. I thought the sideways lift was for pushing the cube off the ledge to gain momentum and was confused when that didn't work, didn't think anything else of the floor for a while. But again maybe that's just me.

And yup, I realize it's an old one--wouldn't expect changes after all this time but wanted to give my thoughts anyway :)

The idea is you'd see the sideways lift, go "wtf is that for", and come to the "huh, it's right over a pit with a white floor, maybe the floor is important" conclusion from there. I agree that recycle signage would be nice but i don't think it existed when i made this test lol. Kinda stinks anyways. Don't think i'll bother to modernize this

Despite being so simple this had me stumped for a bit, but the solution is very satisfying. I don't know if this would make it too easy in your opinion, but I think maybe the floor under the dropper should be differentiated somehow because I didn't even consider that as being part of the solution for a long time. That or recycle signage next to the dropper might make for a subtle enough hint.
