Coral Islands

At the centre of this map, a big snow-topped mountain offers great views down to the surrounding, very flat tropical islands.

Network Extensions mod is required because of 4-lane highways and a national road spiralling its way on the mountain.

Main features:
- lots of perfectly flat land
- pre-built highways around the mountain
- four highway connections to the world outside
- plane, ship and railway connections
- sandy beaches and underwater corals
- lots of forest, some oil, ore and farmland
- good locations for clean wind energy on the mountain and along the coast
- waterfall for a hydro electric plant near start tile (upper left corner of map, see screenshot)

The mountain is based on heightmaps of some Greek islands. Mostly it is hand-made and does not depict any real place. I was inspired by the coral reef prop and the oil-as-snow possibility of the Alpicayon theme, they are the two special features of this map.
