When I found out the Source Engine used in Portal 2 supported the same zone portals I originally used in my America's Army map, I decided to remake the level. Well, here it is.

The portals work pretty much the same way they did in America's Army, but they don't flicker when you walk through them, and you can shoot portals through them too. I don't know if sound travels through them, though.

These portals work identically to the standard portals you're used to in Portal, except they're exactly as big as you want, always rectangular, and don't have a border. There's still the problem with lighting not matching up, which you can see at a few points. I did my best to match them up though, especially in the upside-down catwalk room.

There's a couple of spots in the map where if you look in a certain direction, the engine gets overloaded trying to draw too many portals at once and some weird stuff happens, especially with the addition of the elevators for the Workshop. It's harmless though.

i use portal glitch to go in the locked rooms at the end, before the final elevator, but i don't arrive to pass the third door. i know that we are bot sense to be here but i ask : is there a room under the door or not ?

A www, this used to work fine for me but now it crashes the game when I get out of the elevator. Any idea what could be causing it? I'm not running any mods

The white-square issue espeially ruined the red room

The world portals fail to render half the time, leaving just blank white squares, which kills the magic. Great concept but the Unreal Chamber series used it better imo-- those maps limited the world portals so that there aren't too many portals on screen to render (and included a script on load to turn off portal ghosting, to avoid killing the illusion when you shoot a portal through a world portal)
