Scimitar Domination Fighter (Stock)

The Scimitar is HDY's current heavy fighter design. It focusses on engaging enemy strike craft, bombers or fighters with its devastating barrage of gatling and missile weaponry. Developed in secrecy, its sleek shapes serve another purpose than just to look good: The Scimitar encorporates a new signature minimisation design, which is supposed to scramble a guided weapon's lock. In testing, the shilouette showed a 11% decrease in signature stats, which lay way below expectations. However, the development had already advanced too far to chande the design, so it was encorporated into the standard model.
The Scimitar is highly maneuverable, and yet stil preserves a devastating array of weapons. Its total of eight fixed gatling mounts are accompanied by two rocket pods under the wings, aswell as an AI controlled gatling turret on the ship's upper hull. The turret puts constant pressure on enemies formidable enough to outflank the Scimitar in a dogfight, or provides cover for a retreat.
The Scimitar's armor is quite thin, and it relies on agility and speed to gain the upper hand in a confrontation, which is granted by an array of state-of -the-art chemical engine systems. However, these require fuel to operate, which the Scimitar produces from water. The ship's oxygen generator splits it into oxygen and hydrogen, which is then used both as a propellant aswell as to feed the craft's life support systems.
