Star Trek TNG Type 8 Shuttle (Vanilla)

This is my second attempt at making a Star Trek shuttle. Behold the TNG Type 8 shuttle, used in the later seasons of the show.

After designing the Danube Runabout (for Captain Shack's challenge) that you can see in the thumbnail, I decided to try to build a mothership for the runabout. While making that ship, (You'll have to wait for me to finish it, not spoiling anything) I decided that she needed a full compliment of shuttles because the big ship is going to be a lag fest already, might as well fill it to the brim with shuttles. Thus, this side project was born.

The Type 8, along with two other ships that have yet to be released have been the product of this side project. By far, the Type 8 is the cutest one of the lot.

Unlike her big sister, this Type 8 can not land on planets, and is only meant for shuttling from ship to ship or ship to station. Other than that, she is basically just a people mover, possessing not much in the way of cargo space, and for the sake of appearance, bears no weapons. She also has no connectors, meaning she cannot directly dock with a ship. A way to side step this is to mount a rotor head on the bottom, and use it to attatch to a large rotor base. Once attatched, detatching from the mothership is as simple as detatching the rotor head through the control panel. For basic landing, she comes with two landing gears.

She is basically hanger decoration for the trekkies out there who wanted a nice looking Type 8 for their ships.
