Description

Syntax highlighting for Notepad++

Syntax highlighting makes modding easier. You can also use autocomplete.

Instructions:

1. Download and install Notepad++ (its free)
2. Go to "...\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\workshop\content\394360"
3. Look for the mod
4. Extract the "hoi4.txt" to your desktop
5. Change the file extension to .xml
6. Open Notepad++ and import the file under languages -> costum languages.

It works great

I have two suggestions:
Change the Ext from txt to hoi4 so that it doesn't overwrite the default settings for txt files.
In Styles, set/add colorStyle="1" for each WordStyle - this will make the text background transparent and allow you to use your UDL in more Notepad++ themes without modification.

notepad ++ only lets me import UDL files for some reason any idea why?

You need to restart Notepad++ for the import to take. Don't be like me and import it 3 times.

Looks like the storage path of workshop mods is changed to the steam folder itself.
For example for me it is : "...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\394360\764499529"
