Jacobeast's 16 Semi-Historically Accurate Units

Description
Ever felt like the Roman empires were lacking in some historically accurate diverse units? Then this mod is for you!

My largest project so far includes 16 entirely new units, with historically accurate shield patterns (whereof 13 completely new shield patterns) and uniforms. This mod includes 2 tier 2 skirmishers, 1 tier 3 archer unit, 1 tier 2 archer unit, 3 tier 2 spear units, 1 tier 3 spear unit, 2 tier 3 swordsmen, 3 tier 2 swordsmen and 2 tier 3 cavalry units!

The units are recruitable for both the Western and Eastern roman empire from tier 3 and tier 4 infantry barracks, cavalry stables and skirmisher barracks.

The units include:

-Armigeri Propugnatores Iuniores (heavy tier 2 swordsmen), upkeep: 310

-Armigeri Propugnatores Seniores (heavy tier 3 swordsmen), upkeep: 345

-Comes Africae (heavy tier 3 sword cavalry), upkeep: 340

-Cornuti Iuniores (heavy tier 3 spearmen), upkeep: 340

-Defensores Seniores (medium tier 2 skirmishers), upkeep: 280

-Equites Honoriani Taifali (heavy tier 3 shock cavalry), upkeep: 340

-Ioviani Seniores (heavy tier 3 swordsmen), upkeep: 360

-Tertia Iulia Alpina (heavy tier 2 spearmen), upkeep: 320

-Pannoniciani Seniores (heavy tier 2 spearmen), upkeep: 325

-Quinta Macedonica (heavy tier 2 swordsmen), upkeep: 270

-Secundani Flavia Virtutis (heavy tier 3 swordsmen), upkeep: 350

-Septimani Iuniores (heavy tier 2 skirmishers), upkeep: 295

-Sequani (medium tier 2 archers), upkeep: 290

-Sagittariorum Syrorum (medium tier 3 archers), upkeep: 340

NB: Each unit comes with a custom officer and standard bearer, as always.

The units are overpowered, too much abilities, morale etc.

Hey, Jacob. Would you mind updating your workshop contents? That will be great! Have a good one!

Just bought all the DLC on sale, so now I'll finally be able to try this mod. The units look great, and they definitely augment Rome's lineup well.

Your previous mods I've used have all been exceptional, so I've no doubt this one will be just as awesome. Thanks for your work, as always.

Why do soldiers feet and horse legs occasionnaily get clipped? I noticed this several time in various mods. Also, it is annoying when helmet neck guards, shields, spears go through hands, bodies while in non-combat or stationary. I am not a modder so not sure why these things cannot be fixed.
Shields seem to be small for most units and oval shields are too narrow oval (including vanilla). Per scholarly records shields should be large, wide, usually dished, ovoid and only sometimes round. Best shield design is in this mod: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=883104300 . But it applies only to vanilla units and I think it is an unfinished mod. I wish all shields in all mods looked similar with select few which are supposed to be round.

In any case, thanks for a great work with modding!

It would be better if you didn't put all the units in both factions so, some units be unique for one faction.

I don't know if you'll answer this question, but shouldn't the Comes Africae look like North Africans (ie. Semitic, Roman, Libyan)? As far as I know Africa describes the Maghreb region in general and Carthago and settlements around it specifically. The comes africae unit looks like they have been sourced from Nobatia and Ethiopia.

@mesut.sayar070: I will try and fix the clipping issues, in my tests I didn't see any :p. Please send me some pictures of the specific units and I'll fix all of them!

@Danniel: Just got a new laptop, so I will adjust it as soon as I have the time and appropriate programmes!

Amazing mod :) However there are issues with a few units with missing lower arms..and elbows.. Quinta Macedonica is one of those units. any chance of a fox? ;D
