Corvette Transport by Dan2D3D

Description
Starship Troopers spaceship made by Dan2D3D originally and edited by me to be more movie like...
"Space Engineers like" would be more a more accurate description.

Ship is NOT complete. Art never is. But looks good.

NOTICE:
v 1.181.0 brought multithreaded physics (!) so I decided to update the 'Vette FOR SURVIVAL MODE, IF YOU DARE.

Also screenshots don't reflect what the ship looks like anymore. I'll update the pics eventually. until then see for yourself!

I intentionally didn't add interior pictures. See for yourself. Use some architectual ideas for your own builds, credit me, I don't care. I used the Art-Deco 1920's era as a basis for the interiors looks.

Because if you're going to fly a skyscraper, might as well do it in style.

Features:
1. Doesn't have any BUGS. I checked. Twice.

2. No rotors or pistons.

3. A fully connected Conveyor system with two Conveyor lines running the entire length of the ship, connecting every conveyor port on the ship. Access to Everything! View with F8 Spectator camera for a better understanding.

4. Several Program Blocks w/ respective Timer Blocks and even slots for more! For all your goofy scripts.

5. Scripts incl. are: Taleden's Inventory Manager , MMasters Automatic LCDs 2 , MMasters Airlock Control , MMasters Oxygen Lockdown , Whip's Artificial Horizon as well as image stills from Phils_Ship_Diagnostics for cool factor and immersion.

6. Cameras on major ship hardpoints for scoping targets.

7. Eight Refineries w/ four Production Modules each, three are visable.

8. Four Assemblers w/ four Production Modules each with Master/Slave setup. (Set Über Assembler 1 or 2 to build something and their Slaves will aid in constructing the components)

9. Semi-Auto six-shot autoloading Torpedos on the Bow w/ three gunsights, one inside the ship. (ducted)

10. Ship can do Broadside attacks, 800m range.

11. The giant static S-Foil can be completely severed and the ship is still completely mobile (built-in insurance)

12. Automatic light groups w/ sensors for auto on/off in the bigger rooms.

13. I left all the rooms more.. Open to the viewer, I hear Sims like big, open rooms O_o There is also a blank, empty room near the stern of the ship. You'll know it when you see it. Do whatever you like.

Ship Details:
This ship fills a strange role, its' a corvette so its really fast but its so big! I mean it's half as big as the Pillar of Autumn (length not height) And its primarily an infantry transport? Give or take some fighters..

Really was designed to just carry soldiers into a land war and thats boring. I've added gunz because its' not going to be just One Role. Not in my dock. Only thing I can compare the movie ships to are LST Transports from WW2 but this one is if the LSTs were armed like the Iowa Class and like 20x bigger. Maybe better comparisons but I don't care, LSTs visit U.S ports and docks as museum ships sometimes and I've always liked them. This Corvette Transport is just a really really angry LST

The ship is complete and is merely an example of the architecture I made, there are still some tiny defects and some QoL features that need added. The ship is over 5 football fields long, throw me a frickin bone here (j/k) I mean, I could just go with the real-life engineer excuse "If you can't figure it out then maybe you're just stupid"

Since polys are low (really stretching the definition on that word) for a ship of this size (557m approx.) one should be able to have multiple ships in and around the Corvette and maybe more than one Corvette if your graphics card is fast enough.

I don't think I'll be making anymore architectual changes to the ship, its' pretty much done. (I've said that before)

NOTES:
This is a complicated ship and is not CPU friendly. However completely stationary you'll have 1.00 Simspeed with Holographic Radar turned off. (off by default)

The subscribed World is NOT a planets one so you shouldn't* run out of memory.

Also with v1.153 Stable bringing DX11.1, the ship definetly looks nicer but is a little heavier on GPUs now. CPUs seem unaffected as they should.

I'm using this little "trick" of which I've went into detail. Saves on a little interior space and polys..

Works with vanilla thrusters too.
(was* using this trick. using a different thruster mod now)

You may have to start the scripts, they reset on every world load :\ Hotkey set #5 then press 7 (Systems ~ Timer - PRG Powercycle)

If Simspeed doesn't level at 1.00 you can try Atl+F10 then BiggestGrids/Next (selecting the Corvette) and clicking Stop. Some update Keen did made all ships drift very slighty and this is the best way to get them to sit still again.

Mods used are in the Mods list under Load/Edit Settings after loading the world once. 22 mods total.

Atmospheric version will come soon?

I've also hidden some not-so hidden easter eggs though out the ship!

Remember to Hate Up!!!

Please keep in mind I'm always updating my ships, theres always something I missed

Try it now. Keep in mind it isn't complete but is fully functional. Go on a anti-pirate rampage or something through the galaxy for fun.
I work on it every now and again but my own BPs often get my full attention. Corvette's mostly just a canvas to try new aesthetic ideas on, like the reactor room, I completley re-done that

Sorry but it's corrupted, please fix! Maybe as a blueprint and not a world?

@Joseph Stassup It's easy to do that for yourself. Load the world, Ctrl+B at the ship to make the Blueprint, then just check the worlds' Mods list and add those to your preferred world save.
If you're unsure about a specific Mod click Open in Workshop on all the mods and Sub them all.
Don't close those Steam Overlay tabs yet, you'll need those to determine which mods to add to your preferred save. I added some screenshots of the mods used to the photos up there /\ if that helps.

I have thought about making a Blueprint its just that the ship is so large, it, *used.. to take forever to load but that changed with SE v 1.181. I may upload one in the future after a few more Keen optimisations. Having 20+ mods for ships requirments is a little dissuading for some people, heh.
NOTE. If you're going to be ramming ships, turn the Corvettes' "PB Ship Powercycle" and "PB TIM Powercycle" groups under the Utility tag to OFF. That makes it easier on CPUs.

Can you upload this as a blueprint? I like messing around with multiple ships and mods, and would like to be able to paste this wherever. My CPU can handle it, it handled two mock-up's of the enterprise hitting a planet at once, so this should be no biggie.

Fleet does the flying, MI does the dying

@Lord Wraith Thanks for the compliment, I don't like conveyor junctions being seen unless it looks cool. I like to think it adds to the "real space ship" look when hiding them all, maybe a luxury vessel look? All just steel walls and windows inside. Every other Stable update harms performance then fixes it. Ship used to run well 'till the game updated.

So I just made the ship faster to try and compensate for this loss

a truely massive well done on this one bud, SE at it's best (if you can get the bloody thing to accept the size without having a paddy) anyway, again nice to see a sci-fi ship get the full treatment it deserves 10/10 :steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy:

Heh heh heh, Would You Like To Know More? Yes they actually give some ship directions, click on them. Might just be me being a smartass, you never know
