Description
A remake of the Operation Flashpoint campaign mission #08 "Defender", using CUP USMC units.

Another of my favorite missions of the original OFP campaign. Mine the road and destroy a superior armored force.

You will require all CUP addons along with CBA_A3 for this.

I've created a DISCUSSION in the "Collection" on which mission you guys would like to see next. Pop on over and let me know. :)

You need CUP Terrains - CWA now, I'll go through and do the horrible job of adding the dependencie to all the missions.

Hi I have tried to play about 3 of your Operation Flashpoint remakes but it keeps crashing closing arma and saying cannot load world but I have everything :(

I have all the addons yet the scenario does not start, the PLAY button does not respond. Any idea?

Hey Guys

Killjoy is right. On multiple occassions i remained hidden, but the speed at which the AI "finds"me is alarmingly fast. Theres nothing you can do about this wihtout heavy AI modding i assume. It just doesn't feel right and this rings true for any mission in arma 3.

As I stated, nothing wrong with the mission itself! I really like you stayed true to it and please keep on making remakes of the originals as i will keep playing them, albeit a bit begrudgingly towards the game, not towards you :)

@Nick @killjoy I do recall in CWR2 that the mission was impossible. As soon as one of the tanks hit a mine, the remainder would instantly know where you are and start lighting you up even when still hidden and prone in the bushes, and your survival chances at close range with an alert tank are... well, remote. That's what made me stop playing CWR2 entirely. =)

I've yet to try it here, but if that behaviour has changed then that sounds awesome.

@Nick Works fine for me, you're hidden up to the point you pop out with a launcher and start firing off rounds, which is no different to the original. Hiding in the bushes is perfectly viable, just as the giant boulders are viable for cover.
