This should be the link to the rebuild of the smtn for funn puzze. Its now named Vexza's Smtn for fun . https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=184917407
If the link doenst work you will find it in my workshop for sure.
Also got good and bad news :
The bad news is : Its indeed dam hard to rebuild a puzzle from mind only ;) .
The good new is : I think that i did a good job to get around 90% of the old puzzle into this one.
BTW i did delete the old one so you can remove it from your list.
on this page, at the top, is the address of this page, for subscribing to this map.
I would just copy the address, then paste it. eg.
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=77671664&tscn=1381049881
you could start a rich text document on your pc & paste all your maps addresses in their.
for future use. write the name of the map as well.
to create a rich text document on windows:
go to where you want to put it & right click a empty space.
select rich text document, then name it eg. portal 2 map address
then open it & write the name of your map & paste the map address into it.
always save on exiting. (it will ask if you alter anything)
you can also save the address of any sites using this method.
and being a rich text document, you can click on the address & it will take you there.
thanks for for explanation on hoew to save maps in the future. Indeed its crab that steam does not sync them on it own :S. Already working on a new map. But tesing does not give the right result..... You will see pop ut up. ( btw how you post a link to you new map in a post like this ? I tryed it before but no luck )
after a new pc or re-instalation of your operating system.
use the path to copy them back to the same location, after re-installing steam.
so backing up the path info, is also recommended.
I have succesfully done this myself.
you should then rebuild the maps, to show last build.
as just pressing the "Tab" key, actualy showed me a new map.
backup on a schedual is good.
but if planing a re-install of your operating system or getting a new pc.
do it then, for a most recent version, is recommended.
hope this will help, in the future.
sorry to here, your maps are gone from your editor.
for some reason, steam does not sinc your maps, in the editor, when you do a re-install your operating system, or change your pc.
I recommend backing them up.
just copy & paste any future maps, from the following location:
path to portal 2 maps on a windows 7 home premium 64 bit pc.
start / computer / C drive (or which ever one your operating system is on) /program files (x86) / steam / steam apps / common / portal 2 / portal 2 / puzzles
then paste on a external digital storage device.
eg. hard drive, flashdrive, dvd, etc.
thankyou for your comments.
I just subscribed to your 2nd map "Jump or Die"
what happened to your 1st ?
glad you had fun.
I died a lot, getting the turrets to see you & react, as you go to the button.
they had to be turned just right, as even a non lethal shot,
would make you miss the button & they would all shoot you.
thankyou
glad you enjoyed it.
