Hey I think I found a way that will help both of us!
instead of wheels use gears and the treads dont attach at all. no more need for pistons or loose treads

All i can really say is, make the wheels bigger xD. And to make the tracks tight, have one side of the treads intersect the wheels slightly, so they get pushed out t simulation start, making them tighten themselves

btw how did you place the treads so close to the tank without them randomly attaching to the wheels? I scale the hinges to 50% of its thickness and length (not width) and rotate them as close as I can to the wheels without them connecting but I always have to make pistons to extend the outer wheels and tighten the treads. my tanks turn out pretty nice like yours but I'm trying to compact them more and I I hit a stand still in the tread tightening

Am I doing it the most efficient way to your skill?

Don't worry. I'm pretty sure the end result will be amazing. :steamhappy:

Wow thanks. I hadn't really thought of them that way yet. I'll see what i can do, but i'm that good at making tanks, and tanktracks usually aren't that strong.

Dude, I really love your little tank series. The little tanks remind me of the following:

Little tank 1: Industrial age tank. Resonable speed but with quite a punch. (WWI)
Little tank 2: Modern age tank. Quite fast with a bigger punch and improved tracks. (WWII)
Little tank 3: Futuristic age tank. Fairly fast with a railgun capable of destroying almost everything. (WWIV)

Can we get an information age tank (WWIII) that is quite fast and quite durable please? Most tanks on the workshop usually lag the game on lower ends. Your tanks also deserve to get featured.

by building the wheels+ suspension, and then wrapping a long string of hinges around them
