(4 - 6) Stuka Ridge

This small Polish village was turned over to the Luftwaffe and re-purposed as a Stuka resupplying base to increase the range of Germany's air supremacy. Because the area was small, it was rebuilt quickly to allow transport of munitions and fuel from mainland Germany into Poland. A small industrial complex was established as well as a basic runway for quickly refuelling German planes scrambled at short notice. This town was renamed "Stuka Ridge" by German officials in December 1939 after construction was finished.
