Description
I will update with statistics and more information in the near future im going to take a bit of a break. From the piston and rotor bugs that plague all my builds now. Keen said they improved the performance of pistons and rotors. Im starting to question if they meant improving the lethality of pistons and rotors

Short Description

Before jumpdrives there were ships like this. In the early days of space exploration ships like LDRV2 would venture out first before the rest of the fleet followed. Their purpose was to replenish the resources exhausted by the fleet through mining as they went along and carrying huge solar panel arrays and oxygen farms. The crew could be years underway in cryopods before reaching their destination and started to collect resources. Though these ships are no longer in service, they are still wanted by collectors and musems. The LDRV2 Crosshead is one of the most desirable due to its unique appearance.

Features
  • The record of amount of rotors Ive ever put on a ship. 36 rotors in total.

  • refeuling port for large ships
  • A very effective airlock system

About the Construction Process and Issues
This is a very old project of mine I started 8 months ago back then it was just a concept and it had no real way of functioning effectively. I then left it to persue other projects although ive always wanted to come back to it. I did about 2 week ago when I was busy clearing my world files, I stumbled upon it and throught it is now possible work on it again. Since safetylocking has now been implemented into the game as well as the existance of whip's rotor thruster manager. It is though very unrecognisable from the original I added a lot more detail and I have removed the old bridge section completely as it was literally a glass box.

There are also a couple of issues that need mentioning. The extendable drill used to work really well back when I first started 8 months ago but since piston changes and a therefore new bugs its prone to exploding. when trying to get it back into its holding position. Its the reason why it is sticking out of the side as of now. I did try and solve the problem but its the same issue I have on the Vor Class explorer that stacked pistons do very, very strange things now when connected to rotors.

Also for some ppl and builds rotors disconnect when pasting a grid and well... this thing is built on the rotor. If you have any issues like this I will post a world file as well.
