How To Play XCOM 2 Co-Op

Updates:
Now let's you import Soldiers from your friend's game! Does not work with Ironman because of the save system. Both players MUST be in Squad Select menu when inviting. If you still have issues, then play through Gatecrasher and use a clean save.

Have anyone tested this on Steam Deck? I always have a Pure virtual function being called while application was running (GisRunning == 1) error when connect to a friend

Guys go into your steam library and go into the games properties > betas > beta participation drop down to "pre 21.10 ..." and then try again with the mod

I'm having trouble setting up coop and need a better idea what happens on the joining side. On the mission screen, I open a slot and give the invitation. My partner has a mission screen with four characters open, but nothing seems to happen in response to the invitation. He can remove and replace characters, but the list does not label any as remote. I don't see his characters on my selection list.

What are we doing wrong?
