Description
Flood Spawner 100000 by [SSU]yenyang

Required Mod
Rainfall

The Natural Drainage Assets are free, no maintenance, and can be placed anywhere (anarchy will be needed to place on top of something else). They come in a variety of sizes and are used to create an accurate representation of non-urban hydrology. The assets use the rock assets as a base and will be demolished automatically if you construct anything on top of them. The reason for being asset based is that it gives the user complete control of the simulation. They can be placed outside the users plots using the cross the line mod.

Flood spawning assets are just natural drainage assets with a significant amplification factor. The advantage these assets have over other flood simulations is that they follow the depth/intensity curves of a storm.

100000 is the number of squares this spawner represents with regards to how Rainfall calculates quantities of storm water produced.

I will also update the image so it isn't a big green blob.

@Ce-Acatl I did some research and my speculations were mostly incorrect. The errors I thought I saw in your log file were normal and I’m going to change it so I don’t reinterpret them that way. I tried my mod with real time. One test caused a bunch of the same error repeating but it didn’t seem to affect the game play and it wasn’t showing up on your log. It also didn’t repeat when I tried it again. Real construction worked without any additional errors. I didn’t try them together. Does the slight freeze every 8 seconds happen only while it is raining? What size city population are you running rainfall on?

Of course. I will be glad of helping you. I will do that and give you the info

@Ce-Acatl If one of those two are the issue, I would guess that one of them significantly alters the way the game handles "simulation time" and that is having an affect on the rainfall simulation that ties into that variable. I will need to do some testing to research it though. Would you be willing to do a test with just my content and see if the issue you are encountering still occurs? I recommend doing that with a fresh save file, unlock all, & unlimited money so you can plop a bunch of buildings quickly and then trigger a thunderstorm. Part of the reason we may be having this problem is that after Rush Hour stopped working, I just stopped using a time altering mod. So when Real Time picked it up, I was no longer doing any testing while using that mod.

The only mods that I am using and that look like Climate Control are Real time and Real Construction. I do not know if it serves you the list of mods that I'm using

@Ce-Acatl yes that was helpful. There's definitely something weird going on you keep getting argument out of range exceptions. Are you using the climate control mod or something else that lets you control the weather? I will run some tests this weekend hopefully and see if I get similar issues. Please keep your file online for the time being. Thanks.

Of course. I guess you mean this one: https://www.dropbox.com/s/teevyi8nymykgi8/output_log.txt?dl=0 . I hope it helps

@Ce-Acatl Don't worry about being fussy, I haven't been playing much recently which also means i haven't been doing testing much recently. The feedback is very helpful. Could you send me your log file. You can find your output_log file at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities_Skylines\Cities_Data. It might be as simple as too many logs slowing down the game.

I do not like to be so fussy but now with the update you did, the game every 8 seconds or so has a slight freeze.

Maybe I have a compatibility problem?

Your welcome. Glad to help. . . even though it only stopped working because I made a mistake. :D
