Description
The Illinois Central Railroad took delivery of the first of these Highliners in 1971 for the IC Electric service in South Chicago and the suburbs.

They later passed to Metra, and were retired in 2016.

This model represents the Highliners as they appeared in service for the Chicago Metra commuter rail system.

Stats:
2627 triangles per car.
1024x512 texture sheet.
Auto-LOD. (I swear it looks OK.)
156 passengers per car.

This is the 4-car version. If you want a more realistically-sized train, get the 6-car version.

Also check out the prop.

Would a 2-car set on this be possible? Metra does actually run 2-cars on the branch lines, as weird as that sounds, and I'd like to use it for a similar setup.

The lead car is the engine, powercar.

More specifically the engine isn't separate from the trainset

OuTSMoKE, it's electric, so it doesn't need a separate engine.
