Vivid Hair Color Extended

Description
~~~Features~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
343 new shades of Blonde/Ginger/Auburn that also blend into Brunette with the lower saturation shades for a total of 1,049 new shades of hair color!
~~~Navigation~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

3 Colors: Blonde / Ginger / Auburn

7 Intensity/Lightness (7x7) Grids per Color

Redder ← Hue → Blonder

Vivid ↑ Saturation ↓ Dull

Bright ↑ Intensity/Lightness ↓ Dark

Black and White Colors

Spectrum Colors

~~~What's Different?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
294 total shades of color → 1,049 total shades of colors
49 (7x7 Grid) shades per color → 343 (7 Intensity/Lightness 7x7 Grids) shades per color
Dedicated Brunette shades (7x7 Grid) → Brunette blended into lower Saturation levels for each Color/Intensity.
~~~What's the Same?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We still have the 21 shades from White to Black and the "Spectrum" shades from Red to Green/Blue to Pink

~~~Compatibility~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Don't use this with any other Hair Color mods, not even the original Vivid Hair Color.
With that said, this mod still uses the exact same files and filenames.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~ATTENTION~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Every time you attempt to customize your Hair Color the game will freeze/stutter for a few seconds, this is normal.

Once the Hair Color list is done "loading" it begins to populate... kind of slowly.

Expect to wait longer than 5-10 seconds to populate the bottom half of the list.

The higher your Graphics settings the more pronounced the stutter/freeze will be; list population speed is the same.

This WILL alter all your current hair colors for EVERY operative, nothing can be done about that; that's why it's a separate mod.

Do randomly generated characters use all the hair colors?

Mod works in WotC. Try following this mod troubleshooting guide:

This mod doesn't function for some reason(WOTC).
I seem to start it by AML and be loaded.
But only the vanilla color can be chosen.
MOD besides the color palette is functioning with no problem.
English isn't good, excuse me.

Dunno, mate. For me the program's worked like a charm since I started using it in about March 2016. If you've installed it in Pogram Files (x86) maybe UAC is interfering, maybe your AV is stopping writes to My Games folders as potential ransomware, maybe there's a clue in AML.log, maybe you're not actually enabling the mods.
Try and get Title Menu Continue Button working, that's immediately obvious if it's enabled. If you can get that going you know you can enable mods.

Everyone has told me to use AML and every time i download a new version hoping maybe today will be different, it never is. AML launches the default game with no mods against my will or doesn't launch mods at all, even if I spend an hour making sure I'm not using a single thing that isn't explicitly compatible with wotc, no difference. maybe there's something I've missed but every time i check the wiki and every time it gives really simple instructions that feel like a personalized insult for being unable to get it working

I've just recently got back into modding XCOM2 and I can confirm that the mod does function correctly with War of the Chosen. I'm not aware of what other mods might be incompatible except other hair color mods and possibly the old "color switcher" mod.

That said, @Khajiirah, not sure why it would do that. I'm currently running Unrestricted Customization with a ton of Aeronautic mods, so it's not that.

The only real solution I can offer anyone who can't get the mod working correctly is to install "Alternative Mod Launcher" (AML): https://github.com/X2CommunityCore/xcom2-launcher

My understanding is that the release of Chimera Squad and it's 2K launcher basically destroys mod setups and causes a ton of weird issues (the specifics of how/why are beyond me).

Download AML and use it as your PRIMARY METHOD TO MOD AND PLAY XCOM 2.

For me: enable mod in launcher and play. I don't use the 2K launcher though.

Does someone have the idiots guide to getting this working with Wotc? following the old Nexus guide results in the black hair/randomized palette glitch, and undoing it results in no changes, so idk what to do

@fumusamaral Yeah, I've always hated the lack of shading in hair color in most of these games with customization. Once again, glad you liked it!

@Goth I'm loving it so far, it's incredible how this mod can add more personality to characters.
