I've replicated your issue and I think this bug appeared as of a recent update (most likely the bot course one), not because of the bot scripts.
However, I have found a temporary solution to adjust Breakbad playercount until it gets fixed.
Just select the bot count for a different mode first like deathmatch, then switch over to Breakbad. This should keep the playercount the same as it was in deathmatch and carry over to BB. Unfortunately I can't find a way to get playercount between 21-31, but I think this will eventually get patched, in due time.
If you're unsubbed, that most likely means that the issue has nothing to do with this mod.
This just adds optional bot scripts, it never toys with the actual playercount.
You best bet is to reinstall or verify the game cache if the issue persists. I'd try to help you further, but I honestly don't know how you got in that situation or how I can assist you other than listing the usual solutions to problems such as this.
I don't know how to help you exactly. I have never encountered this issue but I certainly don't believe that it would be a result of my bot scripts.
You can only have 32 playerslots in Breakbad mode, so try selecting that and changing the playercount from there. Selecting 32 players in any other mode breaks the game, you shouldn't even be able to select that unless when hosting a Breakbad server.
