Can this be made to auto reload the gun when out of ammo. Like say the gun takes magazines and each mag has 30 rounds you would load a stack of mags and when your gun ran out of one mag you would reload the gun with a fresh one you loaded before. Because having to use the menu constantly is just as bad if not worse than guns using energy.

can this make vanilla weapons use ammo or only modded weapons?

Lyetzi's Gunners Mod could really use this, would definitely make it cooler.

Are there any gun mods that actually use this yet?

Whats the future plan of this mod?

No Id rather you not do that. I think guns/bows should use bullets/arrows, and if you run out, you can't use your ranged weapons till you obtain more bullets. That's the entire point of there being ammo. I would not mind if you made an infinite bullet type item, that gave no bonus. That would fit in much better, then us using our energy when we run out of bullets. As that makes the mod feel less integrated and far less useful.

I for one really dislike the energy system. It's one of the major things that are nerfing the guns to make them worthless.

I'll think about how to implement it best. Maybe with an extra setting to allow that. Hm.

i always was a fan of the infinite ammo items in Terraria and that was sort of a starbound styled compromise while still fitting your mod's intentions. though i'd be lying if i didn't say it was something i thought of on the spot. the key thing is loading actual bullets into these guns should be an advantage while at the same time not leaving you in a bad spot for running out. that way you can continue to use the guns but until you get ammo, you're left with the bare bones setup.
