@WardenWolf thanks! Should update as soon as I can, but I think a lot of SE stats and blocks will be changing soon, so I will wait for a time when blocks list is almost finished. We are supposed to get new weapons and economy blocks in the next weeks and months.

@Razor I changed my mind, just use her as you like, but try to not be toooooo close to the original ;)

When the release version came out, they boosted all thrusters by 20%, which dramatically helped this design. I was able to go to orbit with a Rhino attached, although there was a phase where I was losing velocity. There's just two small changes I found that make this much better in atmosphere: replace the outermost rear ion thruster on each side with atmospherics, and, in the flat area pictured, put in hydrogen thrusters:

Honestly, you do that, and it's like a new ship in atmosphere.

I know, but directional thrust makes the condor so much lighter. So many builds of mine have to be updated, but I will wait untill we get the new blocks.

Honestly, still prefer this version. The vectored thrust version is cool and all, but from a practical standpoint, it makes precise maneuvering impossible. Of course I updated it, along the lines of the other ships I've worked on. You know the type of work I do by now.

The Condor is still an active workshop creation of me, so I would like you to not reupload it. I still intend to use both the name and the design.

Hey, would you mind if I upload a modified version of the Condor to the workshop? (Ofc with credits to the original)

I must say, I love this design. It's just big enough to retrofit for damn near anything I've needed it to do and still look good doing it.
Great work.

Razor - I've encountered the same issue. What I do to fix it is to move the jump drive two blocks farther to the rear. You have to remount that rear spotlight, or just do away with it all together, however it allows the jump drive to work. No idea why it's placement matters, but that resolves it for me.
JD.Horx  [author] 14 Jun, 2018 @ 1:56pm
cant help you with that, sorry

Great Ship, I love it!
Having issues with the Jump drive though, it is not able to make blind jumps... I always get the error "Obstacle Detected", no matter what I do...
