STAR WARS B-wing (Outdated)

The A/SF-01 B-wing (or Blade wing) starfighter, one of the Rebel Alliance's newest, most heavily armed, and without a doubt, oddest looking starfighters. Originally designed and built in response to the Empire's Nebulon-B escort frigates, it is armed with shields and weapon systems primarily reserved for larger ships.

Sporting ion torpedoes, proton torpedoes, a heavy laser cannon, and two S-foil mounted wing cannons, the B-wing is not so much a dogfighter as it is a heavy assault craft and proved itself invaluable against the large capital ships during the Battle of Endor in the Rebel attack on the Death Star II.

After the success of it's use in battle, it was subsequently implimented into the Alliance's fleet on a full production scale and a newer version was developed with upgraded weapon systems following the downfall of the Empire.

Here you go folks! Another Star Wars classic! I chose this ship for it's lesser known qualities, uniqueness, and the challange that it's design brought to construction.

It is capable of atmospheric flight but as with most of my creations, in order to preserve authenticity and functionality, I had to hide thrusters internally, thus thruster damage should be turned off.

Unfortunately, limitations with the control inputs limited my ability to make this ship true to lore in that the cockpit should remain even with the horizon while the ship can free rotate around it so I built it with two modes for it to respond properly to inputs.
-The first is a simple flight mode with s-foils folded for basic travel and landing applications.
-The second is a fighter mode with s-foils deployed in attack position that allows the use of weapons.
It's a quick switch so you should have minimal trouble.
