Compatability.
Savegame compatible. Safe to add/remove to/from savegame. To be safe always keep a backup save.
I have not changed any vanilla files, only added new ones.
Should be compatible with most mods and overhauls.
All the added christian religions you might not recognise are from EMF(HIP).
I added them here for compatability. This also makes it compatible for other mods adding these religions.

Example of cool stuff:
Uniting Christendom under a Messalian Emperor with lots of holy orders.
Showing those pesky Catholics that Nestorius was right! Whether he was Nestorian or not is not important!

I want to get back to this mod and make sure its up to speed with the last version of the game. Unfortunately recently this has not been a priority, but it is something that id like to do.

can someone inform me on the status of this mod? or direct me to one that allows me as a catholic to mend the orthodox?

further work as discovered that further issue lies with the fact that two of the bishoprics ID'd for mending the syrian schism aren't bishoprics, c_mesopotamia doesn't exist, and the bishopric of b_martyropolis doesn't exist, c_martyropolis *does* exist, but its bishopric holds a different title, and in 867 there is no bishopric in c_karin. There is also no way for Paulicians to mend the schism with Orthodoxy *and* mend the schism with apostolics at the same time, since there is no real way to ensure that d_apostolic is not heretical to mend with orthodoxy and mend between paulician and apostolic. I suspect that one requires k_orthodox to not be heretical, since it seems that's required for the paulician/apostolic mend.

Bug report here, Playing as a Paulician, I was curious why there was an empty county control requirement for mending the Syrian schism, and hunting through the game files, I discovered it was because it looked for c_mesopotamia, but there is no county name matching that title, I suspect this is either looking for c_nineva or c_bagdad (if that's the right spelling for that county) to mend, but simply written wrong. I will be changing this personally to c_nineva because I would like to be able to take the decision, but I figured it was probably the right decision to inform you of the bug as well.

Good night is ironman compatible?
Tempted  [author] 7 Aug, 2019 @ 8:12am
Short answer: yes.

It would create problems as it is right now with other mods that I use.
I could rewrite parts of it to make it work, but at this moment I don't have access to the computer where the mod files are and I don't actively play CK2 atm.
When I get back to the game its very likely that I will revisit the mod =)

I have a question for @Tempted the author.
I've never made a working Ck2 mod in my life. I've been wanting a way to have the Catholic church mend all the schisms instead of the Orthodox church. I tried changing as little as possible in the mod files to achieve this. I copied a working event for Orthodoxy becoming a heresy of Nestorianism and changed all the nestorian focused events to catholic ones. This resulted in a creation of a 6th event instead of the initial 5.
TL;DR: The question is, would it be possible to update the mod to allow for mending the schisms in the church no matter which of the 4 branches of christianity you choose to use?
