Description
Latest Update
Fixed sneak cooldown not being assigned a variable.

The oft-trodded upon natives of Ryloth join the fight against the Ethereals.

With a base 60 supply recruitment cost, Twi'leks may not seem that different from humans at first, but they can make up all the difference at the right time.

Stats
Twi'leks have access to Sneak, a skill with a four-turn cooldown that enables them to be concealed for their turn. Use this to scout ahead when your Phantom ranger is out of commission, or just when you have nobody with any Stealth charges left. (Or set things up to activate a pod on their turn.)

In terms of stat variations, they are identical to humans except in Dodge.

Rookie
Twi'leks have 25 dodge.

Veteran
Identical to rookie.

Commander
Twi'leks have 20 dodge.

Legend
Identical to Commander.

These stats can be changed in the mod's XComGameData_CharacterStats.ini

Known Issues
Cosmetic transitions can break regular soldiers' cosmetic options, use this to fix it if it's enough of an issue for you.

I have not tested what enabling them to be used for VIPs/Dark VIPs will do. It's possible it could work as intended, it's possible it could crash the game, it's up to you to use this before I confirm for myself.

Thanks
DrDCB for making the X2-compatible assets this mod uses.

Grimy for having made the base ability this mod uses in his class rebalance mod.

Bioware for making the original assets and EA for not taking action against the mods using your property in general.

could you make a jedi/sith version of this

Yep, turning off Playable Aliens fixed the issue. Didn't think that would be an issue since you made a compatible mod for Playable Aliens and Allies unknown.

Might want to look into the possibility of custom menus for twi'leks if you get the time, or at least posting that this is incompatible with Playable aliens. :)

I'll try turning off playable aliens and test if that fixes anything. I'll let you know the result.

hmmmm... actually makes me wonder then, why did Twi'leks have to be done diff than, say, Asari or Rogue ADVENT?
RealityMachina  [author] 30 Jun, 2017 @ 2:18pm
The reason it doesn't do it for the others is because the others use their own custom menus, but the Twi'leks use the standard vanilla menus, which Playable Aliens overrides instead of adding it to the character template of their alien soldiers.

not necessarily sure that's it, given i had playable aliens removed at one point and it was still doing it. also kinda weird it's specifically just doing it to Twi'leks, given Asari, Quarians, Turians, Salarians and.. well.. frankly everyone else seem to be fine.

That line is from Playable Aliens. Chances are that's what is interfering since this mod does not have any sort of restriction for twi'leks.

Yeah I'm having the same issue with being unable to customise hair, skin color, and all that specifically only for Twi'lek soldiers.

If I put the Twi'lek hair and alien heads on normal soldiers everything works great, but when I have a Twi'lek soldier all of those options become greyed out and when you hover over them a message pops up "This option cannot be customized for alien soldiers."

I even went through and disabled all non-essential mods for the twi'leks with allies unknown and nothing changed. So I believe it's something with this version, but I'm not sure I can be much more help than that.

the Safer Cosmetics one. other than that, Zilch. all i know is trying to make one in the CP, i can't touch either of those, which makes my currently customized Twi'lek troopers that're human-statted staying that way until it's figured out. i tried unsub and resubbing that mod, i'll let you know if ti fixed it. you should also unlock the face on the Quarian mod. Tali's face wasn't exactly african, even without her helmet off, and that's the only one that seems to show up for female Quarians.

going back to the first, I've got plenty of mods for customization, yes, but i don't have any that specifically force any outfits or appearances. hell, half the fun for me is every trooper ending up with a unique appearance. i probably spend more time customizing them for tactical missions than i actually do ON tactical missions XD

nope. other than your armor customization fix. it's like the same thing that happened with Asari when they first came out with your mod.
