Description
Slightly faster progression of base building.
  • -15% facility supply cost
  • -15% facility upgrade supply cost
  • -15% excavation time
  • -15% construction time
In my opinion base building doesn't need to be overly complex/fancy/difficult and shouldn't distract from the tactical missions which is where I believe the core fun/challenge is.

Does subscribing the mod while having facilities under construction causes any trouble?

I can't speak to how to fix this mod as I'm not the owner but I have released two LW2 compatible versions of my mod that adjusts facility development along with research and healing times. Tee's work here is great as it just messes with the facility times.

To Tee, my recomendation is to create another mod with the same changes under a new name and release it. This will get it put behind the load order on LW2 so it will then work.

Here is a link to my "A Better Start for LW2" {LINK REMOVED}. But again I would definitely stick with Tee's work here as my mods (even the LITE versions) have been commented as being too OP and can take some of the fun out of the Base management aspect of the game.

For what it is worth I found the answer to my question. It has to do with load order but more importantly the load order of types of mods. Load order goes like this. 1) game 2) DLCs 3) local mods 4) workshop mods. You can't trump a workshop mod with a local mod as the game engine will always load LW2 last. For testing you either need to make a local copy of LW2 or push a private copy of your mod to the workshop and subscribe to it.

Sorry for the over-asked question, "Does this mod work with LW2?" I ask because I have a similar mod that adjusts building and clearing times and I could not get my mod to work. I played with mod load order using another launching tool however I couldn't get it to work. I'm hoping you might know the magic for changing game-play features like this that LW2 also messes with.

Trick question if i wish to have excavation and construction done in -25% what would be the ratio to alter for the first floor and below?

I know a simple ini edit will reduce all proving grounds project times but it also affects research. I also know it's possible to create a custom proving grounds project with custom costs and project time.

I could do a mod that replaces the default SPARK-build proving grounds project if I knew how to award players the SPARK soldier (similar to how experimental items are given). I just haven't looked into this yet.
