Tarmac

Description
Mainly for planet hopping CVs. Its 100 Blocks long so will not fit the big boys. I used this to build my CV (still a work in progress) I find it a little helpful having the numbers on the tarmac to see where I'm and when draging blocks out.

The tower building has an Advance Constructor, 9 plots to give you 2 Ratatouilles provided the food processor has water and a space orange to munch on while it cooks. A fridge included if you wanna bring a lunch.

The tarmac has a repair block highlighted by blocks and flares to set right on it. My CV has a belly cockpit makes life easy.

The tower is mostly empty, I used it to jump off to land on top of the high places on the CV I'm building. Not a big fan of the Drone.

Theres Cement Cylinders every 5 blocks 3 blocks deep to aid in placement, its a big boy. Make sure to save before you plop.

After building its a great place to just park and not worry about bouncing on uneven terrrane. The lighted blocks make for easy landing in the dark. It is it's own Base, Generator and 2 T3 Fuel tanks, Plenty of room to add more constructors and growing plots. There is room on the tower and building for turrets if you need. I didnt need them because I was close to my base.

100 Blocks long 29 Blocks wide All Cement

The GARMR 86 (CV) V1.0 Created by JRS Fits Perfectly!

Hope you like.
Happy Gaming.

I can't imagine it would need more than 3. I simply added a single layer of concrete blocks to the underside of the tower on my current playthrough, and that was more than enough to have it buried. If anyone has a reason to add more than that, I'd imagine it's because they're trying to build this on a mountaintop, lol (or maybe over a lake?).

Hey JRS, thanks for dropping a note. I did forget to add cylinders to the tower area. I don't do good in space.. heh. Let me know if more then 3 deep is needed, so far its been good for me. I didn't know enuf to take in account rougher terrane, I'm learning.

I just fixed it, added to the tower base, and updated it.

Re-subbed for the update (not that I really needed it), but at least next time I construct this, I won't have to dig out half of the runway before it's usable, lol. I also do appreciate the attribution in your description, but it's totally unnecessary!

My only thought on having used this for quite some time as my primary CV dock, would be to basically do the same thing with the control tower that you did with the underside of the runway, and that's to extend the foundation further downwards, so that it's buried in the ground a little better, but you can still have the bottom of the runway slightly above the ground, due to the longer/deeper support pillars you've added.

If you look at your second- and third-to-last pictures, you'll see the tower's foundation is in fact above ground. Not sure if you've amended this in your update (I suppose I'll find out later when I construct it!), but if you did, completely disregard everything but the first part of my comment :)

*Updated* I Deepend the cylinders 2 more bring the total to 3 deep to the bottom (and fixed the ones that cloned off the structure) Should be easier to set on rougher terrane. I kept having to clear a little after setting, no ones wants to do that.

Enjoy
