Whizzer Park

Description
Park containing a single coaster, a recreation from memory of Willard's Whizzer of Marriott's Great America, circa 1978 or so, in Gurnee, Illinois, USA. It still exists in 2016, renamed to simply Whizzer, the park renamed to Six Flags Great America. The helix main lift is pretty rare.

There's a lot that is inaccurate.
* NL2 does not currently have the "Speedracer" coaster type by Anton Schwarzkopf of Germany, which uses front-to-back seating instead of side-by-side. The coaster type used was selected based on best matching the Whizzer's two-tube diagonal track type.
* The chain lift is incorrect, as the cars each had their own electric motor, but the chain resembles the electrical pickups of the original Whizzer better than any other lift.
* The Whizzer helix support framework is a nightmare to create in NL2 and still needs a lot of work, but the goofy hole with offset beams at the lower entrance is actually authentic. NL2 needs some good tools to align support nodes to each other, or to a reference node, and to create support nodes via a formula like track elements.
* I used the default station building because I'm lazy. The original has a queue path passing underneath it and is open to the sky directly above the train.
* This coaster is likely taller than the original to ensure there is enough speed throughout. The original looks flatter in most pictures I've seen, but I don't have access to accurate dimensions.
* Terrain and trees are more or less random; the small hill near the second drop and the small pond are authentic.

Very enjoyable ride! I remember Willard's Whizzer from Marriott's Great America in California, where I worked as a teenager. Yes, not totally accurate, but you capture the spirit of the ride very well! Now I just need a "Tidal Wave" and "The Demon" (Or even "Turn of the Century) and then I can ride all the roller coasters that Marriott's had at the time I worked there. Good job on this one!
