Halo 2 Death Music - Heavy Price Paid

An add-on I made for personal use, this mod replaces L4D1 and L4D2's "death" and "leftfordeath" music tracks with Halo 2's Heavy Price Paid, which basically is the long death song when you spectate teammates, and the short one, before the map restarts.


However, since this music is over two times longer than the default L4D death music, it gets cut off very early. 809829679.vpk

If it absolutely bothers you that much, or you want to hear the full thing (like I do), first locate the VPK. The filename should be "809829679.vpk", and found in steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop, or where-ever you have L4D2 installed. Using GCFscape[nemesis.thewavelength.net], extract and paste the "leftfordeath" and "death" files in the directory "left4dead2\sound\music\undeath". The _l4d1 versions should go under "left4dead2_dlc2\sound\music\undeath"
Remember to back the files up before you replace them, if you ever want them back.

Once that's done, open the developer console and rebuild the sound cache by typing the command "snd_rebuildaudiocache" (this might take a while). If the game crashes during the process, try disabling all add-ons.
