Description
65 Million years ago, India is moving north at insane speeds and will soon collide with Asia to form the Himalayan mountains. Meanwhile in the Americas a meteor has just landed in an area around the Yucatan peninsula ushering in the rise of mammals.

There used to be a similar map to this on here but it seems the author took it down, and I lost my local files of it in a PC crash. It was a bit different from this one in a few ways, particularly in that the map was heavily covered in jungle near up to the poles, with normal forests a rarity except in Antarctica. Also - not entirely accurate but interesting for flavor - the author placed the natural wonders in places analogous to where they're found in modern times, example: Ulundi in the middle of the fused Australia continent, Sri Prada and Mt Sinai in some of the islands south of Asia. Unfortunately that map also had a problem with resource abundance - there was only 1 strategic resource per tile, including aluminum.

With this sort of map I tend to like to turn all of the victory's off except for score and space. Its a race to get off the planet before "it" happens you know... so I like my aluminum. :)

other than preplacing resources, so I will do that if there's more complaints about that

I notice that about my maps sometimes, they sometimes have a lack of one resource and have an over abundance of another. I think it's the algorithim of the resource placement randomizer. but unfortunately I can't really do much and keep the map accurate

It appears this map has no aluminum on it. This makes building many late game units as well as a space victory impossible.

my intention for these maps is to educate people on exactly how the continents moved, gameplay wise you'll have to ask the users of this map

What does this map offer that sets it apart from other maps, i'm not one who really cares for maps inless it offers something other maps don't or i can see myself playing for more then 1 game

Not only forested, "about 66 Ma, Antarctica (then connected to Australia) still had a subtropical climate and flora, complete with a marsupial fauna". That would be similar to southern China or the Southern United States, which would imply plains/grassland.
